Job Description

Telecom Designer – Contract Opportunity We are currently supporting a global EPC in their search for an experienced Telecom Designer to join a high-profile project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the execution of FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) deliverables within a dynamic and safety-focused environment. Role Overview As a Telecom Designer, you will be responsible for delivering project work in line with discipline design instructions and company procedures. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safety, quality control, and adherence to budget and schedule targets. Key Responsibilities Execute FEED deliverables in accordance with project scope and standards. Design telecommunication networks including voice, data, video systems, PAGA, ACS, and CCTV. Plan network infrastructure: routers, switches, servers, fibre optics, wireless networks, and cabling layouts. Produce and maintain technical documentation: network diagrams, configuration details, wiring schematics, and operational manuals. Support telecom task delivery, ensuring alignment with project timelines and governance standards. Conduct design reviews and audits, promoting a “Right-First-Time” approach. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery. Utilise design and modelling tools such as AutoCAD and network simulation software. Ideal Candidate Proven experience in telecom design within onshore FEED or similar project phases. Strong understanding of telecom systems and infrastructure. Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design/simulation tools. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with external stakeholders.
