Estimator (Groundworks)

Our client, a well-established Groundworks and RC Frame contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their head office team in Hatfield. With a strong pipeline of projects across London and the Home Counties, this is a great opportunity to join a growing business with long-term stability. The Role You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of groundworks and reinforced concrete frame packages. Working closely with the Pre-Construction team and Directors, you will play a key role in securing new business and ensuring sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities: * Reviewing tender documentation and preparing detailed cost estimates * Analysing drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify requirements * Preparing bills of quantities and undertaking take-offs * Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors during the tender process * Producing and presenting tender submissions to the senior management team * Supporting the handover of successful bids to project teams The Candidate * Previous experience as an Estimator within Groundworks and/or RC Frame contracting (essential) * Strong understanding of cost planning, take-offs, and estimating processes * Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail * Strong IT skills (Excel, estimating software, etc.) * Team player with strong communication skills
