Site Engineer – Ducting, Cables & Drainage Location: Shetland Islands Rate: £300 – £400 per day Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Start Date: Immediate We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in ducting, cable installation, and drainage for a major civils project based in the Shetland Islands. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long-term infrastructure project in a unique and remote location. Flights and accommodation are covered by the client. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out and surveying for ducting routes, cable trenches, and drainage systems * Interpreting technical drawings and site plans * Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and supervisors to ensure smooth delivery * Producing as-built records and ensuring QA documentation is up to date * Maintaining compliance with all site safety and environmental regulations Requirements: * Previous experience in civils projects involving ducting, cabling, or drainage * Proficient with GPS, total station, and AutoCAD * CSCS card (essential) * SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred) * Willingness to work away from home on a rotational or full-time basis in Shetland What’s on Offer: * £300 – £400 per day, depending on experience * Long-term contract with continuity of work * Flights and accommodation covered by the client * Weekly pay and efficient onboarding process Apply Now
