Design Manager (Facade)

Our client, a well-established main contractor, is seeking a Facade Design Manager to lead the technical delivery and coordination of complex façade projects, with a strong emphasis on overseeing the external envelope and releasing curtain walling packages. This is a pivotal role in ensuring successful integration of façade elements from early design through to installation on high-profile Central London projects. You’ll work closely with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage the design process and maintain delivery standards. All of their work is secured through negotiated contracts or two-stage tenders—sustained by a reputation for consistent quality and performance. Key responsibilities include: Managing the release and coordination of curtain walling and external envelope packages Overseeing the full façade design process from pre-construction to installation Ensuring alignment between façade design, programme requirements, and construction methodology Collaborating with internal teams, facade consultants, and the supply chain to ensure technical excellence and seamless delivery The business operates across three core sectors: Complex and structurally challenging commercial office projects Super high-end commercial office spaces Ultra-prime residential schemes This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Facade Design Manager to join a forward-thinking contractor delivering some of London’s most complex and prestigious buildings.
