Joinery Estimator

Job Title: Joinery Estimator Location: Surrey Salary: £40,000 - £70,000 DOE Job Type: Full-time, Permanent I’m currently recruiting for a Joinery Estimator to join a well-established and growing specialist in high-end bespoke joinery. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Estimator or someone from a joinery background looking to transition into an office-based estimating role—with full training and support provided. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders for bespoke joinery projects * Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents * Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate costings * Preparing quotations * Working closely with the workshop team to align pricing with production capabilities * Attending site visits as needed to assess scope and measurements * Managing and updating project documentation and pricing records About You: * Essential: Strong background in joinery or (hands-on or supervisory) * Desirable: Previous experience in estimating (but not essential—training provided) * Able to read technical drawings and specifications * Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills * Excellent communication and organisation * Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary between £40,000 and £70,000 depending on experience * Full training for those stepping into estimating from a joinery background * Long-term career development within a supportive and professional team * Exposure to high-end, bespoke joinery projects across various sectors * Stable and rewarding role within a respected joinery business
