Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Operative Vibe Recruit is working on behalf of our client to recruit a proactive, skilled Maintenance Operative. This role involves spending most of your time on the road, travelling to different sites across the UK to carry out maintenance and repairs. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and cladding repairs as needed Safely operating suitable plant equipment, e.g., cherry picker and/or scissor lift (IPAF licence mandatory) Coordinating with external contractors when necessary Following safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records Schedule: 40 hours per week - rotating shifts between Monday and Friday, 08:00 to 17:30 Essential Requirements: Strong practical skills in electrical, plumbing, cladding, and general building maintenance; minor joinery skills are beneficial Experience operating cherry pickers and a valid IPAF licence (training may be provided) Full UK driving licence and ability to travel extensively Based in Newport or within a 45-minute drive radius Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Desirable Qualifications: NICEIC certification SMSTS certification NEBOSH health and safety qualification IOSH certification Own set of trade tools (tools can be supplied if needed) Benefits: Competitive salary: £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience) Company vehicle plus fuel allowance Employee discount for friends and family For more information, please upload your CV or contact Naomi on (phone number removed).
