Design Manager – £65,000 to £80,000 Benefits – London (Site & Office Based) We’re working with a forward-thinking, £100m-turnover main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale residential and mixed-use developments across London and the South East. They are now seeking a proactive and technically strong Design Manager to join their growing team. This isn’t a "postbox" design coordination role. They’re looking for someone who can take ownership, drive the process, and bring real technical insight from concept to completion. The Role: * Lead the design process across major construction projects * Liaise closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors and the internal delivery team * Take a hands-on, solution-focused approach to design challenges * Ensure design quality, buildability, and compliance with project specifications and standards * Balance time between site and office environments What They're Looking For: * A Design Manager with a holistic mindset and proactive attitude * Background in architecture or structural engineering highly desirable * Strong technical understanding and the confidence to challenge consultants when needed * Previous experience with main contractors or design & build firms on complex, multi-storey projects Salary & Package: * £65,000 – £80,000 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications) * Benefits package and long-term career progression Interview slots are open for this position, please apply for more information
