Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Southwark, London Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Dependent on Experience About the Role Our client is actively seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role in their growing commercial team. You’ll manage multiple projects—primarily in the public and housing sectors—from procurement through to final account. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded QS looking to step into a leadership role with real influence over project performance. Key Responsibilities * Lead commercial management on a portfolio of refurbishment and construction projects * Support and mentor junior QS team members * Oversee procurement, cost planning, and subcontractor negotiations * Prepare and present monthly commercial reports * Manage risk registers, cost forecasting, and variation control * Ensure timely and accurate valuations and payments Requirements * Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in the public or housing sector * In-depth knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contracts * Demonstrable leadership and mentoring experience * Chartered status (RICS) preferred but not essential * Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial reporting systems Benefits * Senior-level influence and leadership opportunities * Dynamic, growing business with high-profile public sector clients * Competitive package and performance-based progression * Based in London with a varied regional project portfolio
