Job Description

The successful candidate will have various duties. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE BCom or relevant degree in accounting. BCom honours with articles will be an advantage. 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant or Financial Manager within the Motor Industry. RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation and analysis of Management accounts. Timely preparation and implementation of budgets. Preparation of forecasts. Completion of relevant statutory returns. Oversee internal audits at the Dealership. Bank reconciliation. Issuing and posting of cashbook payments. Prepare and submit monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner. Monthly reconciliation of General Ledger. Control petty cash. Ability to identify financial risks and implement solutions. Monitor current controls and report non-conformances immediately. Able to implement policies and procedures. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Business and financial acumen. Understanding of accounting principles. Good understanding of incentive scheme calculations. Sound knowledge of manufacturer and Imperial requirements. Knowledge of governance and compliance regulations and requirements. Advanced knowledge of automate or similar. BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Deadline driven. Ability to work under pressure. Performance driven. High emotional intelligence (excellent people skills).
