Job Description
This is not your typical behind-the-desk finance role its an integrated operational role , working across cost centres, managing spend, partnering with department heads, and driving financial accountability throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities Cost Centre Management & Cost Control : Monitor, analyse, and optimise cost drivers across various operational units. Financial Reporting : Oversee month-end, budgeting, and forecasting processes; prepare insightful reports for senior leadership. Business Partnering : Work closely with operational leaders, engineers, and production teams to influence decision-making. Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a small finance team; foster collaboration and accountability. Stakeholder Engagement : Manage relationships across departments with varying personalities and priorities. Requirements Qualification : CA(SA) or Qualified ACMA/CGMA (CIMA). Experience : 810 years experience in a finance role within a mining or manufacturing environment (essential). Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, forecasting , and operational finance. Excellent people and interpersonal skills able to engage at all levels, from plant staff to executive leadership. Proven ability to influence operational outcomes through financial insight.
