EHS Specialist

Location This role is based in our office located in Santa Palomba - Pomezia, Rome, Italy. Responsibilities Provides technical expertise in the areas of workplace ergonomics, general industry safety orders, Johnson & Johnson worldwide environmental health and safety standards, hazard assessment techniques, accident investigations, and emergency response planning. Promotes workplace and product safety by identifying and monitoring potential hazards to people or property. Implements health and safety policies and programs developed for a site to assure that workplace conditions comply with all local government and company requirements. Facilitates compliance audits by assisting management in conducting risk assessments, and by participating on health and safety teams. Reviews operating and maintenance procedures for compliance with health and safety programs and policies. Participates in health and safety reviews, routine safety inspections and incident investigations where applicable with manufacturing and maintenance personnel including developing and implementing solutions. Participates as the health and safety representative in internal audits and internal consultation with HR and unions; participates as EHS representative in external audits and inspections by local government agencies. Develops training and communication programs according to JnJ Corporate program and EHS&S manager. Participates as the health and safety project of efficiency of resources like water, waste, energy, in collaboration with Facility Department and other production departments. Recommends content of health and safety policies, programs and certifications IOS14001 and OHSAS 18001. Provides content to emergency response plans and participates on emergency response team. Implements health and safety policies and programs developed for a site to assure that workplace conditions comply with all local government and company requirements.
