Automation & Robotics Specialist Location: Berga (Spain) – willingness to relocate required ✈ Availability: up to 50% travel (national & international) About the Company We work for an industrial engineering company dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for automation processes and machinery manufacturing. Their expertise lies in the design and construction of CNC machinery and the development of productive strategies for machining and industrial automation. About the Role As an Automation & Robotics Specialist , you will play a key role in the design, programming, and commissioning of advanced automation systems, working closely with our mechanical engineering team and supporting customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities Lead automation projects from concept development to commissioning, ensuring compliance with technical specifications. Program PLCs (Siemens, TIA Portal) and HMIs for industrial automation projects. Configure automated systems, communication buses, VFDs, and integrate third-party equipment (labelers, checkweighers, barcode readers, vision systems). Program and integrate industrial robots (Stäubli, ABB, Fanuc, KUKA). Perform testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization. Supervise machine setup at customer sites (national and international). Prepare technical documentation and user manuals; provide operator training. Deliver after-sales technical support both remotely and on-site. Education & Qualifications Higher Technical Diploma (CFGS) in Automation and Robotics, or Degree in Industrial/Automation/Electronics Engineering. 5 years of professional experience in PLC programming and industrial automation. Proven experience with industrial robots (ABB, KUKA, Stäubli, Fanuc). Strong knowledge of Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal environment. Additional Requirements Fluent in Spanish; intermediate/advanced English (highly valued). Availability to travel up to 50% (national and international).
