Financial Accountant

What the role is about: Our client is looking for a Client Accountant to join their outsourced accounting division. This is a portfolio management role-where you'll take full ownership of client accounts from start to finish-rather than just processing transactions. What you'll be doing: Managing your own portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met Preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting packs Handling VAT, payroll, and compliance submissions in collaboration with the tax team Preparing year-end working papers and supporting audits/independent reviews Working with cloud-based systems (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) Engaging directly with clients, handling queries, and improving processes What we're looking for: Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles Practical experience in client accounting (mid-tier/smaller firm background advantageous) Solid understanding of IFRS for SMEs and tax-related processes (VAT, payroll, corporate tax) Comfortable with cloud accounting systems and Excel/Google Sheets Someone proactive, detail-driven, and confident managing their own portfolio What's in it for you?
