TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Manchester, New Hampshire, 03103! Pay Information $2,463 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred; will screen for 1-2 years License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate*, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: Previous charge experience required; must be able to circulate for c-sections Description: This is a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit with an average delivery volume of 2100 deliveries per year. Transfer ins are accepted as there is an outpatient consultation available. All obstetric providers manage their patients with no hospital-owned providers. Only family practice will have midwife coverage. The facility has a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The unit does not operate on a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum model. The Registered Nurse must circulate for cesarean sections. A minimum of three years of experience is preferred, and first-time travelers are not accepted. The Registered Nurse will be expected to float to mother-baby units. Every other weekend is required. The unit utilizes the Epic system for medication, documentation, and communication. The team approach includes assisting with various high-risk deliveries, providing couplet care, and conducting thorough patient assessments. Nurses will also be involved in postpartum education and care. The patient ratio is 1-2 patients at a time during nights and weekends. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and social services. Special procedures include cesarean sections, massive transfusion protocols, and postpartum tubal ligations, if indicated.
