Junior Draughtsman

my client is looking for a skilled Draughtsman to join their team in Cape Town. The role involves creating accurate technical drawings and CAD models for architectural glass fittings, balustrades, shower door systems, and related hardware. You will work closely with engineers, production teams, and installers to ensure all designs meet both aesthetic and practical requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate design concepts into precise manufacturing documentation. Education: Diploma or relevant qualification in Draughting, Mechanical/Architectural Engineering, or a related field. 02 years experience in draughting, preferably in architectural hardware, construction, or a related industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials such as stainless steel and aluminium is advantageous. Job Experience & Skills Required: Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for products and installations. Interpret sketches and design briefs into accurate documentation for manufacturing and assembly. Collaborate with design, production, and installation teams to refine and improve designs. Maintain organized drawing archives and version control. Apply industry standards, tolerances, and conventions to all technical drawings.
