Mechanical Engineer- FMCG

Mechanical Engineer FMCG We are seeking a skilled and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-paced FMCG operation. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a passion for driving efficiency within high-volume manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of mechanical equipment and production lines Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety Support new equipment installations, commissioning, and plant upgrades Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure operational excellence Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely procurement Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Requirements: Bachelors degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related qualification) Minimum 35 years experience in mechanical engineering within the FMCG or manufacturing sector Strong knowledge of high-speed production machinery, conveyors, and automated systems Proficiency in CAD software and maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP, Pragma) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong leadership and communication abilities with a collaborative approach Willingness to work shifts or be on standby as required What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package The opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-performance FMCG environment Career development and training opportunities A culture that values innovation, safety, and continuous improvement If you are a results-driven Mechanical Engineer ready to take on the challenges of FMCG manufacturing, we would love to hear from you.
