Job Description

Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business. Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in logistics or freight sales, preferably in the commodities or mining sector. Strong knowledge of Southern African logistics corridors and port operations. Strong track record of achieving sales target and driving revenue growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive business development plans. Solid understanding of market research and analysis. Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities: Report to the Business Development Manager: Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the logistics portfolio in the commodities sector. Identify and engage new clients in the mining and trading sectors across Southern Africa and international markets. Manage end-to-end logistics solutions including road, rail, and port operations for bulk commodities (Chrome, Lithium, Copper, etc). Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring profitability and service excellence. Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and commodity flows to identify new business opportunities. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions using CRM tools. Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the companys logistics capabilities.
