Community Liaison Officer

Qualifications & Experience Diploma/Degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 35 years experience in a similar community liaison or development role, ideally in hospitality, conservation, or NGO environments. Strong understanding of rural community dynamics, traditional leadership structures, and cultural sensitivity. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills. Proven track record in project management and stakeholder engagement. Ability to speak local languages (e.g., isiZulu, Sepedi, Tsonga, or local dialects) advantageous. Knowledge of conservation, sustainability, and eco-tourism practices will be a strong asset. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to community areas regularly. Professional, approachable, and able to represent the lodges values at all times.
