Key Responsibilities Order Management: Oversee customer orders and ensure specifications and requirements are met. Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule production and deliveries to meet deadlines. Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished products; initiate replenishment where needed. Communication: Act as the link between customers, production, and suppliers to ensure clear updates on order status and timelines. Problem Solving: Resolve production or delivery challenges such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns. Documentation: Maintain accurate order records, inventory logs, and production schedules. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QC teams to confirm all products meet required standards before dispatch. Cost Management: Track and help control costs related to production and delivery. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and boost efficiency. Collaboration: Work with sales, production, and transport teams to ensure alignment across operations. Requirements 12 years experience in a steel service centre (cut-to-size environment) Knowledge of plasma/profile cutting processes Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or similar systems Matric (relevant tertiary/technical qualification is an advantage)
