CNC Operator

CNC Operator Location: Stroud Salary: £33,705 Contract Type: Permanent Shift Pattern :3 different shift patterns that equate to 37 hours. Key Responsibilities: Operate one or more CNC machines as assigned. Complete routine machine condition checks. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Stamp and verify completed work. Report any non-conformities promptly. Support general production tasks as directed by supervisors. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workstation. Participate in training and development activities as needed. Strive to reduce waste and defective parts. Mentor junior team members or apprentices when applicable. Collaborate with team leaders and managers to meet delivery schedules. Communicate operational issues to senior operators and leadership. Skills & Experience Required: GCSE-level education or equivalent; vocational training or engineering apprenticeship preferred. Proficient in operating a variety of machining tools including CNC equipment, manual mills, and lathes. Experience working in a similar role Clear communication skillsboth verbal and written. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings. Basic mathematical skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios). Ability to follow both written and visual instructions. Effective problem-solving in standard production scenarios.
