SNC - Aircraft Mechanical Design Engineer with Security Clearance

Aircraft Mechanical Design Engineer In this role, you will be using your skills and expertise to develop engineering defintion for the Airborne Mission Network (AbMN) C-130 program. These drawings will be incorporated into a very complex technical data package including parts and assemblies for advanced mission payloads and electronic systems. You'll create and review layouts, drawings, and models for clarity, completeness, and accuracy. You'll identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in designs. Responsibilities of the Aircraft Mechanical Design Engineer: Understanding of engineering principles and practices, including configuration management. Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams. Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and drafting practices using SOLIDWORKS. Preferred experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) and 3Dxperience (PLM) software. Working knowledge of ASME and Government standards. Knowledge of industry-standard design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware and or electrical component selection, fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes. Qualifications of the Aircraft Mechanical Design Engineer: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 3 or more years of relevant experience. A higher level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education. Preferred: Associates or Technical Degree in a related field. Background in the Aerospace & Defense Industry.
