Security Lead with Security Clearance

Title: Security Lead Clearance Required:Top Secret Clearance required w/ SCI eligibility Location: Stevensville, MD Travel: 25% OCONUS DESCRIPTION: Halcyon Days Consulting, LLC (HDC) is a veteran owned small business that specializes in the design and engineering of Tactical Mission Networks (TMN). This is a unique opportunity to join a small and high-performing team committed to delivering cloud platforms for exciting missions. As Security Lead, you will oversee the full security lifecycle for information systems, guiding risk assessments, certification and accreditation, compliance with DoD/IC regulations, and ensuring continuous operational security posture at both customer sites and internal operations. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: -Engage with leadership and clients to coordinate security architecture, policy compliance, and remediation strategies -Lead security exercises, readiness reviews, and tabletop drills -Train and mentor junior security engineers, analysts, and contractor staff -Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with RMF, DoD, and IC guidelines -Evaluate and manage security configurations for systems, software, and hardware, including patching, scanning, and vulnerability remediation -Monitor, respond to, and document cyber threats, IAVAs, and security incidents across enterprise environments -Administer access controls and authentication mechanisms while ensuring continuous improvement in information assurance practices REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: -Minimum 10 years of cyber/information security experience -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field -Demonstrated technical proficiency in RMF processes, A&A toolsets and secure system operations -Proficiency in threat and vulnerability management PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or IAM II -Experience managing accreditation packages for cross‑domain solutions, cloud environments, or tactical systems -Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients and leadership on security posture and risk SALARY RANGE: $140-180,000 This salary range is an hourly exempt (exempt from overtime) position.
