Compensation: The wage range listed represents the potential compensation opportunities for this position. Starting salary will be thoughtfully determined by the hiring manager based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, education, relevant skills, and qualifications brought to the role. Where you'll work: You will be working onsite at the Marine Corp University's Quantico, VA location. Our Customer's Mission: The Marine Corps University (MCU) is a military education university of the United States Marine Corps. Hosted in a unified data center, MCU's Information Technology services are delivered through a wired.edu network and domain, as well as a wireless "Bring Your Own Device" network. Epsilon provides Information Technology services for the MCU including network and systems, data center, service desk, cybersecurity, and audio visual/video teleconferencing. An average day: As Information Systems Security Manager, you will serve as a hands-on senior technical expert responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining comprehensive cybersecurity operations across Marine Corps University's complex IT infrastructure. This role combines strategic oversight with direct technical execution of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, security tool administration, and daily cybersecurity operations while ensuring compliance with DoD directives throughout the MCU environment. In this position you will: * Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive cybersecurity strategies across all MCU network environments. Execute hands-on configuration of security policies, technical controls, and procedural frameworks to ensure full compliance with DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF) standards and Marine Corps cybersecurity directives. * Author detailed security assessment reports, System Security Plans (SSPs), and Risk Assessment Reports (RARs) for multiple Authority to Operate (ATO) packages. Conduct comprehensive security control testing and vulnerability assessments. * Serve as the primary technical expert for government customer interactions, delivering security posture briefings and technical demonstrations of cybersecurity capabilities. * Administer critical cybersecurity platforms including Varonis data security and ACAS vulnerability scanning tools. * Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior cybersecurity personnel while conducting security assessments. Lead training initiatives on RMF processes, security tool administration, and incident response protocols for team development. * Execute immediate response actions for Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments (IAVAs), IAV Bulletins, and Marine Corps Directives. Apply security patches, update system configurations, and validate remediation efforts across the enterprise infrastructure. * Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) through direct system configuration and automated compliance scripting. * Monitor network security posture through daily analysis of security logs, vulnerability scan results, and threat intelligence feeds. Investigate security incidents, configure monitoring tools, and establish alert thresholds to maintain situational awareness across all MCU systems. * Lead comprehensive cybersecurity incident response activities including forensic analysis, system remediation, and implementation of corrective security measures. Coordinate with federal agencies and government stakeholders while ensuring thorough documentation and lessons learned integration. Basic Qualifications: * As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions. * Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in federal cybersecurity environments, with at least four years in senior-level positions managing complex DoD information systems and RMF processes. * Active advanced security certification such as CISSP, CASP CE or CISM * Expert-level proficiency with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes including System Security Plan (SSP) development, Control Correlation Bridge (CCB) implementation, and Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) documentation. * Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing technical teams, coordinating with executive stakeholders, and presenting complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical audiences. * Advanced technical expertise in enterprise cybersecurity platforms including ACAS vulnerability scanning and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). * Comprehensive knowledge of NIST 800-53 security control families, DoD STIGs implementation, and federal compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD Instruction 8510.01 requirements. * Demonstrated experience with assessment tools like ARCHER, vulnerability management systems, eMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service), and automated compliance reporting platforms used in DoD Risk Management Framework implementations. * Strong background in network security architecture, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPN technologies, and secure cloud integration methodologies. * Familiar with Marine Corps Policies and Regulations, such as ECSM-18, MARADMINS, MCBUL (Marine Corps Bulletins), MCPEL (Marine Corps Publications), and Authorization Validator Process. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field Other Requirements: * Must hold active DOD Interim Secret or Secret Clearance. ( This is a federal contract position and requires candidates to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust. Adjudication of the required Security Clearance or Public Trust is determined solely by the government.
