Provide direct surgical support including tissue handling, suturing, and hemostasis. Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and surgical equipment. Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and support efficient workflow during complex cardiac procedures. Monitor patients intraoperatively and collaborate closely with the surgical team. Document surgical procedures accurately and in compliance with facility policies. Requirements: Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CSFA, CFA, or equivalent). Active Texas license/credentialing as required. Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR First Assist experience. Strong technical knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures.
