CNC Machinist for Mills, Lathes, Grinding

Job Description Job Description Produce precision components from 3D computer models and paper drawings under moderate supervision. Check work for conformity with print specifications and quality standards; and perform related duties as assigned. Main duties: • Adjust and edit CNC programs; • Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machine; • Carry out machining of components; Frequent materials machined: Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloys, Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, Plastics • Carry out inspection, including first-off inspection to the authorized level; • Identify and report drawing errors and suggest improvements; • Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy; • Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required by the Machine Shop Supervisor. Job Requires: • Must use safety glasses at all times and gloves and masks as necessary. • Must be able to work 10 hour shifts. • A good knowledge of Shop Math. • Must be able to work overtime. • Must be able to communicate and work cooperatively with others. • Lifting required up to 50 pounds at times, with frequent lifting and/or carryon of objects weighing up to 20 pounds. • Position requires constant standing, occasional climbing, frequent twisting and bending, and occasional carrying of parts.
