Job Description Job Description Certified Medical Assistant We are on the Lookout for a Certified (Lead) Medical Assistant to join the team at Keen Medical Group. Job Description Keen Medical Group is currently seeking an all star (Bi-Lingual Spanish Speaking) Certified Medical Assistant with experiance leading a team, to become a staff member working alongside our Urgent Care providers and assisting with general Urgent and Primary Care services. The rigtht candidate must have Front and Back office Urgent Care experience . Duties include, but are not limited to: The ability and leadership qualities to lead a team with kindness, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, clinical phone triage, relaying results to patients, maintaining and stocking patient rooms, sterilizing instruments/equipment, handling medication refills, and scheduling patients. The ideal candidate shall possess the following qualities: Leadership skills that have honed over time, Keen attention to detail; Ability to lead and work in a fast paced environment effectively and efficiently by yourself and as an All Star Lead team member; Excellent organizational skills, a problem solver with outstanding communication skills; An individual who is Highly motivated, flexible and extremely reliable, with the understanding that the team depends on your input. This position has the potential to expand into advanced growth opportunities. Requirements: 3 years in prior Front and Back medical office experience; Urgent Care experience is a MUST! ; Ability to Lead a team is a MUST!, Knowledge of EMR; 2 years Scribe experience is a plus. Proficiency with electronic medical record is required. Education Requirements: 2 year degree or equivalent preferred and MA certification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Prepping Rooms, Rooming patients, Recording details of chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, past medical history, social history, family medical history, disease risk factors, medications and allergies. Record details of physical exam, including pertinent positives and negatives, noted abnormalities and patient general condition. Other duties and responsibilities may be requested by specific provider. Keeping inventory of medications Assist in delivery of injections. Rooming and discharging patients. Updating EMR Filing medical records in charts. Post visit documentation. Competencies To perform the job of Medical Assistant efficiently, the selected individual must possess the following competencies. Working knowledge of medical terminology and accepted abbreviations. Recognition of physical the exam process and the ability to record exam details. Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new software applications. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to coordinate and cooperate with multiple team members in the Healthcare Group. Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow in the clinic. Individual must possess a professional dispossession and be able to recognize and respect the privacy considerations for all patients and family members. Ability to thrive in the sometimes high-pressure clinical work environment. Must be dependable and report to work as scheduled. Applicant must be reliable, trustworthy, punctual, organized, computer literate and able to multitask while problem solving. Accompany physician into the patient examination room to transcribe history and accurately document the physician's encounter with the patient when required. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions, prescriptions ordered by the physician and any other vital information. Exceptional typing skills. Exceptional Critical Thinking Skills. Education Education/Training in the Sciences and Healthcare is preferred (aspirations for advancing in healthcare field is desired). Anatomy, physiology, medical terminology courses are highly desired in individuals selected for this position. Data entry skills must be virtually error free; skills in self-proofing are essential. 3 years experience with EHR is required.
