Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neonatology Discipline: Nurse Practitioner Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 24 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Locum Tenens Medicus has partnered with a facility in central New York that has an opportunity for a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum weekend coverage. Opportunity Details: Schedule: 12 or 24-hour weekend shifts Level III NICU, 16 beds Daily Volume: 8-9 patients, 0-2 admissions Required Procedures: Vent management, ETT, BiPAP, CPAP, chest tube insertion, central and arterial line insertion, UAC/UVC placement, lumbar punctures, etc. Will attend c-sections Will assist in the Level I well-baby nursery Support Staff: Neonatologists, APPs Required Supervision: NICU RNs and ancillary staff as needed EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses During your time off, catch a performance at a historic theater, bike or walk along a lakeside trail, and tour a regional science and technology center.
