Job Title: Linux Administrator Location: Moorgate, London (5 days in office) Type: FTE / Subcon / Permanent Certification: RHCE (must-have) Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Linux Administrator to manage and support Linux systems, automate infrastructure, and ensure high availability across servers and applications. Key Responsibilities Administer and manage Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS). Work with virtualization technologies (VMware). Use automation tools (Ansible) for deployments. Write and maintain scripts (Python, Bash). Perform MySQL database administration . Manage LAMP stack (Apache, PHP, MySQL). Deploy and administer RedHat Satellite for package management. Integrate Linux with Microsoft Active Directory . Configure and manage Postfix mail server . Troubleshoot networking and firewall issues. Use monitoring tools for performance tuning and system health checks . Document processes and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Must-Have Skills RHCE Certification Linux Administration (RHEL/CentOS) VMware Ansible (Automation) Python, Bash/Shell Scripting MySQL Administration Apache, PHP (LAMP stack) Networking fundamentals, firewalls Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Kibana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics) Strong communication & documentation Additional Skills (Good to Have) Microsoft Active Directory integration Postfix mail package Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx, Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, DevOps tools) Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM), Jira, BMC Helix, Control-M BI/Analytics: PowerBI, Cognos, Crystal Reports Programming: Java, C, C#, C++, .NET, React, Angular, JavaScript ERP Testing (JDA, PoS, PLM, Infor LN, JDE, PeopleSoft)
