About the Role You’ll be working on projects across a variety of sectors—including healthcare, education, commercial, retail, and high net worth residential—using your expertise in building performance simulation to shape designs that meet and exceed energy, comfort, and compliance standards. Work can range from initial surveys through to handover, and anywhere in between, all with a strong focus on sustainability. Key Responsibilities Carry out dynamic thermal modelling and building performance analysis using IES VE. Ensure designs meet Part L and other Building Regulations, with a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. Provide advice on daylight, overheating, natural ventilation, and thermal comfort assessments. Support low-carbon and net-zero strategies at early design stages. Liaise with architects, M&E engineers, and sustainability consultants to deliver coordinated design solutions. Produce clear, concise reports for design teams and clients. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in Building Physics / Energy Modelling. Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and environmental assessment methodologies. Proficiency in IES VE (essential). Familiarity with other tools (SAP, SBEM, CFD) would be a plus. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. A collaborative mindset and passion for creating sustainable buildings.
