Assistant Quantity Surveyor (PQS) Truro (Hybrid – Flexible Office/Home Working) Permanent Circa £45,000 Excellent Benefits including unlimited annual leave About the Role We are recruiting for an Assistant PQS (Professional Quantity Surveyor) to join a client-side consultancy based in Truro, Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their career within a highly respected consultancy environment. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, and public realm schemes, supporting a range of clients such as local authorities. This is a flexible hybrid role – you can work in the office as much or as little as you wish, with a focus on delivering quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in the delivery of a variety of construction projects from inception to completion Work closely with clients to ensure their objectives and requirements are achieved Assist with cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting Support tendering, contract administration, and procurement activities Liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery Work on both NEC and JCT contracts, ensuring compliance with contract conditions About You Previous experience working client-side within a PQS or consultancy environment Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts is essential Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience) What’s on Offer Competitive salary based on experience, circa £45,000 Unlimited annual leave Flexible hybrid working Pension scheme, life insurance, and medical insurance Permanent role with career development opportunities How to Apply If you are an experienced Assistant PQS looking to join a progressive, client-focused consultancy in Truro, we’d love to hear from you.
