Heating Engineer

Gas & Air Source Heat Pump Installer Location: Reading Your Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of on-site works including installations and servicing of heat pumps, hot water cylinders, and thermal storage systems Carry out central heating system installations and repairs in domestic and commercial settings Provide technical supervision and support to team members on-site Diagnose and repair faults across a range of heating systems Install, upgrade, and maintain heating, plumbing, sanitation, and HVAC systems Ensure compliance with PAS 2030, MCS, and Gas Safe regulations Complete work records via PDA or digital systems Participate in out-of-hours callouts and overtime where required Adhere to all health & safety procedures, including hazard reporting Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism on every jobWhat You'll Need: Experience in the local authority or social housing sector Strong knowledge of heating and domestic appliance installations Proven experience with PAS 2030-compliant installs Background in fault finding and maintenance of commercial/domestic systems Familiarity with BMS, system controls, and press-fit pipework Strong commitment to health & safety standards Excellent communication and customer service skills Essential Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 in Domestic Plumbing (or City & Guilds equivalent) Level 3 Award in the Installation & Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (C&G, BPEC, or LCL Awards) G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinder Certification Water Regulations Certificate Full, clean UK Driving Licence
