Job Description
Position: Reactive Maintenance & PPM Electrician (EICR & Testing) Location: Bristol (sites close to home) Start Date: March/April 2025 Valoris Group Limited is partnering with a growing company to appoint an experienced Reactive Maintenance & PPM Electrician with expertise in EICR, testing, and inspection. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercial electrical professional with experience in both reactive fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Role Overview: We are representing a forward-thinking client seeking an electrician with solid experience in the following areas: – Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) – Inspection and testing – Reactive maintenance and emergency fault resolution – Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) The successful candidate will ensure all systems meet compliance, safety, and operational efficiency standards. Key Duties: – Performing electrical testing and producing EICR reports on commercial electrical systems – Diagnosing faults and carrying out responsive repairs – Conducting planned preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns – Ensuring full compliance with current electrical safety regulations – Advising clients on the condition and maintenance needs of their systems Desired Experience & Qualifications: – Proven experience in EICR inspections, testing, reactive maintenance, and PPM – Strong understanding of UK electrical safety standards, regulations, and commercial codes – 2391 qualification preferred (or willingness to obtain) – Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills – Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel Why Choose Valoris Group Limited: – Work across a variety of commercial projects with ongoing support – Competitive salary with door-to-door travel time paid – Accommodation provided at no cost when working away – Access to regular training and professional development Working Schedule: – Monday to Friday – 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break Compensation & Benefits: – Competitive salary, reviewed after six months – 21 days holiday plus public holidays, increasing by one day per year of service (up to 25) – Monthly KPI bonus structure – Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays, and double time on weekends and nights – £40 paid per evening worked away, with accommodation covered – £50 per out-of-hours callout, plus double door-to-door travel pay – Company van, fuel card, and personal mileage allowance – Mobile phone, uniform, and PPE provided – Performance reviews every six months with progression planning – Pension scheme and additional employee perks – £500 referral bonus for successful candidate recommendations – Recognition schemes including Employee of the Month and company events
