Solar Electrician

Title: Renewable Electrician Location: Wales & South-West England Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent Pay: Up to £700/day (self-employed) or £42,000/year bonus (employed) Schedule: Monday–Friday (optional weekend overtime available) About the Role Valoris Group is partnering with a market-leading renewables contractor to recruit Renewable Electricians for long-term projects across Wales and the South-West. This is an excellent opportunity for electricians with solid domestic installation experience to step into the rapidly growing renewable energy sector. You’ll work on high-quality projects installing Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Internal Wall Insulation (IWI), with full training provided in renewables. The role involves regular travel and overnight stays (all arranged and fully paid), giving you the chance to work across varied sites while building future-proof skills. Key Responsibilities * Install and maintain Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) * Complete first and second fix electrical work for IWI projects * Work to high safety and compliance standards across all installations * Deliver excellent customer service on every project * Manage on-site documentation and reporting effectively * Travel across Wales & South-West England with flexibility for overnight stays Requirements * Minimum 2 years’ electrical experience * Strong domestic rewiring and installation background * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations * Inspection & Testing certificate * Own tools and full UK driving licence * Professional communication and customer service skills * Flexibility to work away from home during the week Desirable / Training Provided * Solar PV & Battery Storage qualifications (training provided if not already held) * Experience with renewable technologies or IWI projects Pay & Benefits Self-Employed: * Up to £700/day £0.50/mile fuel allowance Employed: * £42,000/year performance bonus * Company van fuel card Additional Benefits (both options): * All accommodation arranged and paid for during overnight stays * £30/night meal allowance * Career progression with renewables training provided * Regular company events and long-term project security This role offers both strong financial rewards and future-proof career development.
