IT Support Engineer

2nd Line IT Support Engineer – Azure Cloud | Colchester Colchester (On-site) | Up to £40,000 | Permanent Role – Immediate Start We’re working with a well-established international business based just outside Colchester, seeking an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer with strong Azure cloud expertise. This is a permanent position with an immediate start available. You’ll play a key role in supporting a global user base across both office and manufacturing environments, acting as a senior escalation point within a collaborative IT team. Key Responsibilities: Deliver 2nd line support across desktop, infrastructure, and cloud environments Support and manage Azure services (Azure AD, virtual machines, storage, backup) Administer Microsoft 365, including Intune and Autopilot Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network systems Assist with ERP system support (Dynamics AX preferred) Work closely with colleagues across global sites to ensure smooth IT operations Support internal IT projects, upgrades, and automation initiatives Maintain documentation and ensure timely resolution of ticketsWhat We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support or similar technical role Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure cloud services Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and endpoint management tools Experience supporting ERP systems, ideally Dynamics AX Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, desktop, and cloud Confident communicator able to support users across multiple international sites Comfortable in both office and industrial environments Available to start immediatelyWhat’s on Offer: Permanent position with long-term progression opportunities Salary up to £40,000 Immediate start available Based on-site in Colchester with free parking Exposure to global IT operations and modern technology stacks Supportive, fast-paced team culture
