Bricklayer needed in St Helens- Social Housing Location: St Helens, UK Rate: £19.00 per hour (PAYE Umbrella) Job Type: Temp-to-Perm, (12-Week Contract through Agency Initially) Start Date: ASAP We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Social Housing client in Liverpool and are looking for a skilled Bricklayer to join their growing team. This exciting opportunity offers a temporary position, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in bricklaying, particularly within Social Housing or similar public-facing environments. Key Responsibilities: Bricklaying: Performing brick and block work to high standards, ensuring the quality and safety of each construction. Social Housing Projects: Working on various social housing projects, including refurbishments, repairs, and new builds. Maintenance and Repairs: Carrying out bricklaying work on property repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied homes. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines to ensure safe working practices on site. Customer Interaction: Communicating with residents and customers in a professional and respectful manner, as this is a public-facing role. Team Collaboration: Working alongside a dedicated team of tradespeople, assisting where necessary, and contributing to the overall success of each project. Travel: You will be required to travel between sites, so flexibility and the ability to plan routes efficiently is essential. What We're Looking For: Bricklaying Experience: Proven experience in bricklaying, ideally within social housing, property maintenance, or other public-facing roles. Qualifications: NVQ/City & Guilds in Bricklaying or equivalent qualifications. CSCS Card: A valid CSCS card is essential to ensure site access and compliance with construction site regulations. PPE: Full Personal Protective Equipment will be required. Full UK Driving License: A clean UK driving license is essential, as you will be provided with a van and fuel card (for work use only). Willingness to Travel: As part of the role, you will need to be flexible and prepared to travel between work sites in the Liverpool area.
