Job Title: Handyman (Multi Trade Operative) Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Sector: Property Services Location: London Borough of Ealing Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 Salary: £35,000.00 per annum An established and reputable property maintenance contractor is currently seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman (Multi Trade Operative) to join their team, working on social housing contracts across the London Borough of Ealing. This role offers the opportunity to carry out a variety of reactive and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring safe and comfortable homes for residents. Responsibilities: Delivering a wide range of repairs and maintenance in both occupied and void properties, including but not limited to: Basic plumbing (e.g. fixing leaks, replacing taps) Carpentry tasks such as door adjustments, lock replacements, and kitchen repairs Minor electrical work (e.g. replacing sockets or light fittings) Bathroom fitting, tiling, decorating, and patch plastering Diagnosing faults and resolving issues quickly and effectively Using a PDA (handheld device) to receive jobs, log updates, and provide real-time feedback Upholding strong standards of customer service, respecting tenants' homes and maintaining a professional appearance Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence (manual) Ability to pass a Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check Proven experience across multiple trades, ideally within social housing or public sector contracts Good communication skills and a commitment to health and safety compliance Benefits: Company van and fuel card provided for work purposes 25 days annual leave (excluding public holidays) Access to an employee rewards platform - discounts on high street brands, travel, and more Annual staff events - complimentary days out for employees and their families Regular training and career development opportunities Flexible working arrangements where possible If you're interested in learning more or would like to apply, please reach out to Victoria for a confidential conversation.
