Job Title: Project Manager – Mechanical Engineering Location: London Projects / Head Office in Loughton Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 DOE Performance Bonuses Reports to: Operations Director Job Type: Full Time, Permanent About the Company Out Client are a leading multi-disciplinary mechanical and electrical engineering specialist, delivering end-to-end services across the commercial, industrial and public sectors. The Opportunity They are seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background to join their growing team. You will take ownership of M&E projects from lead generation through to completion, managing client relationships and delivering commercially successful outcomes. This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys the challenge of developing new business while maintaining operational excellence. You’ll be given qualified leads, use of new business systems and tools and will also be expected to bring in new projects and clients with you, if possible. Key Responsibilities * Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical and M&E projects from inception to completion. * Identify and convert new business opportunities; follow up on provided leads and generate your own. * Develop strong, long-term client relationships and act as the key point of contact. * Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. * Collaborate closely with the pre-construction, design and commercial teams. * Prepare, manage and report on project budgets, costs and schedules. * Monitor and mitigate project risks. * Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S, industry, and company standards. What We’re Looking For * Mechanical Engineering background – ideally with experience in HVAC, plumbing, heating, or full M&E project delivery. * Proven experience as a Project Manager within the building services or construction sector. * Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive business growth. * Ability to bring or develop a portfolio of clients and contacts. * Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. * A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable both managing and generating work. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
