Job Title: Freelance Site Manager (Passive Fire Protection) - Basic DBS Required Location: Northallerton Duration: 8 Months Freelance Rate: Competitive Start Date: 18/08/2025 Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in Passive Fire Protection to oversee long-term works on a Ministry of Defence base. The role will focus on managing and delivering fire door installation projects to the highest compliance and safety standards, ensuring all works meet MOD security protocols. The successful candidate will bring proven expertise in fire door installation alongside the relevant carpentry skill set, enabling them to lead from a position of technical understanding. They will be responsible for supervising site teams, coordinating materials and schedules, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, and delivering quality workmanship in a secure, operational environment. Key Requirements: Basic DBS CSCS SMSTS NVQ in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent) Previous Experience in Fire Stopping Strong all-round knowledge of passive fire systems Responsibilities: Oversee and manage fire door installation projects on an active MOD base. Ensure all works comply with Passive Fire Protection standards and MOD regulations. Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Carry out inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance. Plan and manage project schedules, resources, and material deliveries. Enforce strict health, safety, and security protocols on site. Maintain accurate site records, reports, and compliance documentation.
