Job Title: Freelance Site Supervisor (Fire Stopping Background) - Night Shifts Location: Manchester Start Date: 31/08/25 Duration: 4 Months Freelance Rate: £28ph - £30ph Start Date: 28/07/2025 Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor with a strong background in Passive Fire Protection to oversee nightshift works on a retail store project. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of fire stoppers, ensuring all fire stopping works are carried out to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety. This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage work efficiently during night hours to minimise disruption to store operations. The Site Supervisor will liaise with project managers, ensure adherence to passive fire regulations, maintain accurate site records, and oversee health and safety protocols for all operatives on site. Key Requirements: NVQ in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent) Previous Experience in Fire Stopping Strong all-round knowledge of passive fire systems Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate nightshift fire stopping teams on a live retail site. Ensure all passive fire works meet regulations and quality standards. Enforce health and safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks. Monitor progress and manage work schedules to meet deadlines. Liaise with project managers and site contacts to ensure smooth operations. Maintain accurate records of works completed and materials used.
