Estimator - Construction - Main Contracting

Assistant Estimator or Estimator - Construction Main Contractor Salary: £45k - £70k per annum package Location: Hertfordshire / North London Position: Full time employee Our client, who has been an established contractor for 15 years, across refurbishment, fit-out, new-build schemes across the London and Home Counties. They deliver projects in the leisure, education, retail, healthcare and housing sectors. Due to the pipeline of work in 2026, their recruiting for an Assistant Estimator or an experienced to join the team. You must have experience working in the refurbishment or new build sector, ideally with a main contractor although happy to speak to people from a sub-contractor background who are willing to learn. The role specification: • Must have experience working as an assistant estimator or Estimator • Must have experience working on new build and refurbishment projects in residential and commercial sectors • Must have experience working for a Main Contractor • Must be able to estimate from first principles along with using our supply chain • Must have a relevant estimating degree or similar training and or experience • Must be able to manage multiple tenders at one time • Must be a good communicator and have experience dealing with clients and subcontractors • Must have good IT skills and be able to use word, excel and outlook (Emails) • Must have a flexible, can do attitude and want to work as part of a team • Must be able to work independently and take on responsibility for the tender submission to meet deadlines • Must have experience with working with JCT forms of contract To view all of our current roles then please visit our website; (url removed) or register for alerts on our App (available on the App Store and on Google play).
