Planning Manager

Planning Manager Exeter We’re working with an award-winning regional housebuilder that is expanding its planning team in Exeter. They are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects across the South West. Key Responsibilities * Assess and appraise new housing sites (immediate and strategic) * Prepare and manage planning applications, appeals, and condition discharges * Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and planning authorities * Write planning documents, including Design & Access Statements * Represent the company at consultations and stakeholder meetings * Promote strategic land through the Local Plan process * Support and mentor junior team members * Advise the Managing Director on planning matters What We’re Looking For: * Proven track record in residential planning (client-side or consultancy) * Strong working knowledge of the planning system and housing development process * Excellent negotiation, communication, and report-writing skills * MRTPI qualification preferred (or working towards) * Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary & package (car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare) * Opportunity to work with a highly respected, design-led developer * Varied projects, from small developments to large-scale masterplans.
