Senior Project Manager Location: Bradford Reporting to: Head of Projects Salary: Up to £60,000 (including car allowance) Benefits include: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Additional day's paid holiday for your birthday Free Parking Free On-site Gym 38.25 hour working week - 4 days in office and one day from home. 4:30pm finish on Fridays Auto enrolment pension Employee Assistance Programme Private Healthcare after 3 months Job Description Senior Project Manager Reports to: Head of Projects Job Purpose This senior-level role is responsible for the delivery of high-value, complex projects across a diverse product range, with a focus on acoustic containers and enclosures. The role demands strong project leadership, client engagement, and commercial awareness to ensure complete customer satisfaction, timely delivery, and maximised gross profit, all without compromising on quality. Following a structured induction, the successful candidate will progress into team leadership responsibilities, managing a team of experienced Project Managers and supporting departmental improvement. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Client Engagement Take full ownership of projects from customer order through to completion, including design, manufacture, delivery, installation, and commissioning. Act as the key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Conduct thorough site surveys to capture all necessary design and installation data; validate designs on-site prior to production. Chair regular project meetings with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure programme alignment and timely execution. Manage design change requests, coordinating revisions with internal technical and CAD teams. Submit interim project valuations, payment applications, and invoice claims to ensure cash flow and accurate forecasting. Maintain detailed and up-to-date project documentation, including financial reporting and change control. Programme & Cost Control Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring that project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Liaise closely with Production and Procurement teams to track progress, control costs, and avoid delays. Monitor and control variation orders, submitting accurate costings and obtaining formal client approvals. Site Management & HSEQ Write detailed risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all Health & Safety and compliance obligations are met. Oversee internal installation teams and subcontractors, conducting regular site visits to ensure quality standards and project progress. Investigate and record non-conformances, ensuring root causes are identified and preventative actions implemented. Promote a culture of proactive health, safety, and quality compliance throughout the project delivery process. Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement Line manage a team of three Project Managers and one Apprentice, including 1:1s, appraisals, and mentoring. Chair regular project review meetings and contribute to the monthly reporting of departmental KPIs. Lead internal investigations into departmental non-conformances and implement sustainable corrective actions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and project management methodologies. Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential Proven experience delivering complex, multi-phase projects in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving acoustic containers or similar bespoke engineering solutions. Strong commercial acumen and financial reporting skills, including budgeting, cost control, and client invoicing. Demonstrable experience in a client-facing, high-pressure environment managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to travel and undertake occasional overnight stays. Desirable Experience in leading or managing a team, with the ambition to grow into a departmental leadership role. Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and writing of RAMS.
