Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: High Wycombe Salary: Up to £90,000 £6,700 Car Allowance 10% Bonus Project Value: £60m per site | Two HA-led Residential Schemes We’re recruiting on behalf of an award-winning residential developer and contractor, for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to commercially lead two major housing schemes in High Wycombe — Ashwell and Belfield. These are £60 million Housing Association schemes, acting as the Main Contractor, they require a commercially astute SQS with strong experience in civils and infrastructure within housebuilding. The Role: As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial ownership of one or both sites, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. You will be responsible for: * Leading the procurement process and managing subcontract packages * Cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting * Contract administration (JCT) and change management * Managing risk and ensuring commercial performance * Supporting and mentoring junior team members (QS / AQS) What We're Looking For: * Proven experience as a Senior QS on residential schemes (main contractor or developer) * Strong knowledge of civils and groundwork packages within housing * Commercial leadership on schemes £30m in value * Skilled in cost control, valuations, and client reporting * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Comfortable working on fast-paced, high-volume schemes What You’ll Get in Return: * Salary up to £90,000 * £6,700 Car Allowance * 10% Annual Bonus * Long-term pipeline across multiple phases * Opportunity to lead flagship schemes with a top-tier housebuilder * Supportive commercial leadership team with strong internal progression
