Senior MEP Estimator

Leading independent consultancy in the construction and infrastructure sectors, are currently seeking a Senior MEP Estimator to join their team in London. As Senior MEP Estimator you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical and electrical aspects of construction and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, BMS, lighting, power, etc. Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness Develop and maintain pricing databases and cost libraries Ensure estimates comply with technical and contractual requirements Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during the bid process Provide support to the project management team during the pre-construction and delivery phases Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and technical reviews Identify potential risks, opportunities, and alternatives in the estimating process Ensure contingency is appropriately factored into cost estimates Job Requirements: Experience in M&E estimating within the construction or infrastructure markets industry Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within construction Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Costex or similar) Excellent numerical and analytical skills Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related field Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS7671, CIBSE, NICEIC) Benefits: Opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and high-profile projects Professional development and continuous learning opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Comprehensive employee benefits package If you are a seasoned MEP Estimator with a passion for delivering accurate and efficient cost estimates within the construction industry, we would love to hear from you.
