Senior Quantity Surveyor | SE London & Kent | Freelance | Sep 2025 The Role: We're looking for a hands-on Freelance Senior QS to support the Commercial Director across a range of live projects. You'll act as his right-hand, taking ownership of the commercial workload while ensuring smooth delivery on site. This isn't a role where you're stuck in the background - you'll be leading CVRs, valuations, subcontractor accounts, and final accounts, while keeping the project teams aligned on cost and programme. The Projects: Healthcare, education, and commercial refurbishments, often in live, occupied environments Contract values typically £1m-£15m, with the business also delivering schemes up to £60m Mix of frameworks and competitive tenders, with repeat clients making up a large share of the workload What they're looking for: •Main contractor experience (healthcare, education, or refurb background ideal) •Strong commercial management skills across procurement to final account •Solid knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts •Based in or commutable to Kent, Essex, or South East London •Available for a freelance assignment starting September The Company: A medium-sized main contractor with a reputation for delivering complex projects in live environments.
