Parts Advisor

Job Title: Parts Sales Advisor Location: Sussex Salary: From £14 per hour (DOE) Your New Client My client is looking for an experienced Parts Sales Advisor to join a busy and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in agricultural machinery or automotive parts who enjoys working in a customer-focused role, solving problems, and ensuring the smooth running of a parts department. This role is key to delivering a first-class service to customers by providing accurate advice, sourcing the right parts and consumables, and maintaining an efficient parts operation. Key Responsibilities: Identifying and supplying customer spare parts requirements in-store, over the phone, and via email. Processing sales orders and invoicing using a dealer management system (full training provided). Coordinating returns and working with couriers within time restrictions. Supporting rolling stock checks, ensuring stock is accurate and well-organised. Receiving, checking, and putting away deliveries, including handling shortages or damaged stock. Pre-picking parts for workshop and customer needs. Maintaining a tidy, safe, and well-presented department. Skills & Experience: Strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner. Agricultural machinery or automotive knowledge essential. IT literacy, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office. Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, organised, and deadline driven. Flexibility to support the wider team when needed. Experience using Ibcos Gold is desirable but not essential (training available). Benefits: Competitive hourly rate, from £14 (depending on experience). Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (extended hours during harvest, plus occasional weekends for shows/working days on a rota). 22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. Company pension scheme.
