Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex (with projects across the Home Counties) Company: I’m currently working with a well-established specialist subcontractor in the construction sector who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects, from multi-million-pound student accommodation schemes to complex refurbishment works. The Role: * Generating Applications for Payment (Valuations). * Pricing Variations & additional work. * Checking fortnightly Sub-Contractor labour invoices & issuing of Payment Notices. Liaising with Sub-Contractors regards claims for additional works. Logging payments made. * Assisting with the checking of Sub-Contracts & all associated Numbered Documents. * Attending Pre-Contract Meetings with our perspective clients. Negotiating terms. * Quantifying work using our onscreen measuring software. * Liaising with our Project Managers & visiting our live projects. Providing support to our delivery teams. Who Th’re Looking For: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector, ideally from a sub-contractor. Knowledge of dry-lining, screeding, partitions, or similar trades is a strong advantage. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and commercial awareness. A collaborative team player who thrives in a busy, project-focused environment. Additional Information: * Based at their Eastbourne offices.
