Development Engineer

Development Engineer – North West | Up to £58,000 Car Allowance Package and Bonus Sourced Recruitment are representing a leading housebuilder who are looking to appoint a Development Engineer into their North West technical team. This is an intermediate-level position, ideal for someone who is either: * A current Development Engineer content at this level, looking for stability and a supportive environment, or * An Assistant Development Engineer who’s ready to take the next step up. You’ll be working as part of a young, collaborative team with a steady pipeline of projects and a culture that encourages teamwork and delivery without unnecessary pressure. Responsibilities * Coordinate engineering information between external consultants and internal teams * Review drawings and technical documents for compliance, buildability, and accuracy * Manage approvals for S38, S104 and other adoptable infrastructure agreements * Support the Engineering/Technical Manager in achieving project milestones * Attend development sites to oversee technical progress and resolve issues What’s on Offer * Competitive salary up to £58,000 (depending on experience) * Car allowance annual bonus * 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (option to purchase extra) * Contributory pension scheme and life assurance * A great team environment – young, supportive, and approachable * A steady workload with consistent housing projects across the region Candidate Profile * HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline * Experience working in residential development or construction engineering * Competent in technical software (AutoCAD desirable) * Organised, detail-driven, and confident liaising with stakeholders * Full UK driving licence Why Apply?
