Responsibilities: Manage your own client portfolio of SMEs, partnerships, and sole traders Prepare and review financial statements, accounts, tax returns, and management reports Provide strategic business and tax advice , including cash flow, planning, and growth support Build strong client relationships , acting as the first point of contact for queries Mentor, supervise, and review the work of junior team members Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and the latest tax legislation Contribute to internal improvements and firm-wide initiatives such as staff training and business development About You: ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) - Essential Experience in accountancy practice , managing a client portfolio - Essential Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and tax compliance Proficient with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage Strong leadership and mentoring skills , with a track record of developing junior staff Excellent communication and client-facing skills able to build trusted relationships Organised, commercially aware, and proactive in identifying opportunities to add value This role is ideal for a personable, ambitious accountant who wants to play a key role in supporting local businesses while also progressing their own career within a growing practice.
