Job Title: Site Engineer Location: Taylor Woodrow, Bulls Lodge Quarry, Boreham, Chelmsford, CM3 3HR Salary: £31,000 - £39,000 car/car allowance Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Project Type: Major Infrastructure Taylor Woodrow is seeking a driven and hands-on Site Engineer to join our team at the Bulls Lodge Quarry site, supporting the delivery of a major infrastructure project. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your engineering skills in a site-based environment with a clear path for progression. Key Responsibilities: Set out works accurately and support the technical delivery of construction operations Manage materials, temporary works, and subcontractor coordination Monitor and ensure build quality, compliance, and proper record-keeping Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans Contribute to short-term construction planning and commercial reporting Work closely with design teams and promote BIM and innovation on-site Person Specification: Previous experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of setting out, quality control, and safety standards Experience with Total Station and CAD software Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills Competence in construction-related software and site documentation Requirements: Full UK driving licence Right to work in the UK
